Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

A large scale magical battle takes up a great deal of the running time. Creatures such as giants, spiders, snakes and Dementors attack. Several secondary characters are seen dead in the aftermath.

A couple of people are vaporised by a magic spell, while others transform into magical energy when they die. Characters are shown with blood on their clothes after the battle.

There is a high body count of unknown characters on both sides.

A werewolf is briefly shown with blood on his chin. It is implied he was feeding on a body.

A snake is killed and dissolves magically.

Theres also some violence aside from the ending battle. Goblins fall to their death, and others are consumed by flame.

A teenage boy is engulfed by magical flames.

Voldemort slits Snape's neck with magic (he gestures violently and a stripe of blood starts to appear on the collar of his white shirt); he falls back,a big snake lunges into him repeatedly (this happens offscreen). Snape is later seen with blood on his neck, and he dies.

Lord Voldemort kills a lot of elves and goblins using the killing curse. The aftermath shows elves and goblins laying dead on the floor covered in blood.

1 use of "bitch", 3 uses of "bloody hell" , 1 use of "hell."

Younger viewers may find scenes in a destroyed Hogwarts intense.

Several intense battle scenes are shown with magic and magical creatures.

The body count of unknown characters is high in the battle, and several secondary characters die. Bodies are shown in the aftermath of the battle. One scene depicts survivors mourning the casualties, many of which are students, and it is reminiscent of the aftermath of a school shooting. The happy resolution of the story mitigates from the loss.

Fred's death is very sad.

Rated PG-13 for some sequences of intense action violence and frightening images
